Hermes Airports comprises of an international consortium of nine shareholders, managing and operating Larnaka and Pafos airports since 2006 under a 25-year BOT Concession Agreement with the Republic of Cyprus.
Hermes Airports Ltd significantly contributes to the country’s tourism growth, through an active air service development strategy consisting of incentive schemes provision and joint marketing activities with airlines, as well as collaboration with the Government and tourism stakeholders for the expansion of tourism related opportunities. The company contributes 3% to the country’s GDP, whereas 12,700 jobs are sustained by its operation. 2016 ended with a historical record in traffic, recording 8.9m passengers.
As a major tourism stakeholder in Cyprus, Hermes Airports has brought optimal results and improvements through collaboration with other key players in the sector, such as the 2016 benchmark of 9 million passengers coming through the country’s airports, translating into 24.6% growth for Larnaka and 2.6% growth for Pafos airport.Read Eleni Kaloyirou's full interview
