The Cyprus Institute (CyI – www.cyi.ac.cy) is a research and educational organization established to support the knowledge-based economy on the island. CyI is recognized as a science, technology and innovation hub for the Eastern Mediterranean, and as a gateway between Europe and the Middle East.

It has developed cutting-edge research infrastructures geared towards regional research challenges, based on the principles of open access, and recognized at the European level. CyI excels in the following research fields: Solar Thermal Energy and Energy Storage, Climate and Environmental Research, Technologies for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, and High-Performance Computing, simulation and hyper-infrastructures. CyI also conducts focused Doctoral and Master’s programmes, in certain cases in partnership with renowned international universities.
