Cyprus ranked sixth among the most popular countries in the world where Britons are likely to travel to in 2022, according to a survey carried out by UK search engine for holiday rentals Holidu.
The website compares millions of accommodations from more than 1,500 providers.
Cyprus ranked sixth after Turkey, Greece, the Maldives, Spain and Thailand, thanks to “its compelling culture and history, sun-soaked sandy beaches and tasty local cuisine.”
The result was registered after Holidu analysed Google searches in the UK from the past 12 months.
The survey also called the island a popular choice for both family-oriented holidays and for groups of friends.
