EY Cyprus participated in the 2018 Global Indirect Tax Symposium, EY’s most prominent tax client event with regard to indirect tax matters. The event took place on 18-20 April 2018, in Vienna, and was attended by circa 500 multinational clients from various industries, as well as EY leading professionals.
- EY Cyprus was named the “EY Knowledge Champion of the Year” in push to raise awareness of rapid domestic and international indirect tax changes
- Additionally, two members of the EY Cyprus Indirect Tax team were awarded the title Knowledge Champion Consultants for their contribution in the dissemination and enhancement of knowledge in their field
At this prestigious event, EY Cyprus was recognized amongst member firms as the EY Indirect Tax Knowledge Firm of the Year. EY Cyprus received the Knowledge Firm Award in recognition of its efforts in distributing VAT and customs-excise updates among its clients and network, via weekly tax alerts, knowledge reminders, newsletters, organization and facilitation of regular seminars through presentations and video sessions.
During the Symposium, EY Global Director of Indirect Tax, Gijbert Bulk, acknowledged the knowledge contributions of EY Cyprus and awarded Simos Simou and Oleksii Miroshnychenko the title of Knowledge Champions. The two members of the EY Cyprus Indirect Tax team had the opportunity to present the tax benefits and advantages Cyprus has to offer to investors.
