Acclaimed accounting qualification launches in Cyprus

A newly released internationally acclaimed qualification for accounting and business skills is now offered in Cyprus by the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF) in collaboration with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), a UK based organisation member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

For information purposes an event will be held at the Nicosia Hilton on January 20 at 18:30 where attendants will be able to learn more about the AAT qualifications offered by EIMF including an accounting qualification and shorter courses for individuals on how to improve their skills and effectively run their businesses.

Justin Kyriakou, AAT’s Global Development Manager said: “Financial management is at the heart of every business, so demand for people with accounting and finance qualifications stays consistently high in the jobs market. This means that our students are able to use our qualifications to build successful careers.

“AAT qualifications are internationally recognised and give students practical financial knowledge that can be used straight away to manage finances and budgets, and play a key role in helping businesses grow. We’re pleased to be able to start working with students in Cyprus, and to be working with the EIMF.”

Speaking on behalf of the EIMF, Marios Siathas said, “We are proud to have been chosen to partner up with AAT, the largest and most respected provider of Accounting Technician qualifications globally. The EIMF, as an institute specialising in providing training to the financial and professional services sector in Cyprus, will ensure the high-quality provision of all AAT qualifications.  Furthermore, as the Cyprus AAT approved training partner, the EIMF will always provide its support to the local AAT members.”

“We feel that the market will welcome the launch of AAT in Cyprus. With the gradual recovery of the economy there is increased demand for good accounting professionals, and AAT’s qualification provides the initial practical skills-based accounting training that will add value to the bottom line of any business.”
