Bank of Cyprus ELA drops to €3.4 bn

Bank of Cyprus’ outstanding emergency liquidity assistance fell by €100m, to €3.4b in February 2016, Central Bank figures showed recently.

The emergency liquidity assistance of Cyprus’ largest bank stood at €3.5 billion in January 2016 and €3.8 billion in December 2015.

The Bank of Cyprus has reduced its ELA by €400 million in 2016 and by €8 billion since April 2013 when it had peaked to €11.4 billion.
