Building permits fell in January to September 2014 27% in terms of construction area and 26% in terms of value compared to a year before to 573,756 square meters and €641.3 million mainly on a decline in new housing projects, the statistical service said.
Building permits for new residential projects fell 32% in both construction area and value to 431,654 square meters and €412.6 million in the first nine months of the year, Cystat said in a statement on its website today. Building permits for non-residential projects fell 1.4% in terms of area to 131,922 square meters and rose 21% in terms of value to €153.5 million.
