CIPA was represented at a seminar entitled ‘Investment Opportunities in Cyprus’, which took place earlier this month in Hong Kong and aimed at promoting Cyprus as an attractive shipping destination.
The seminar was organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in cooperation with CIPA, the Cyprus-China Business Association and the Merchant Shipping Department.
The Agency’s presence in London was equally important, during which the Cyprus Investment Funds Agency (CIFA) in cooperation with the international law firm KWM organised an event to promote Cyprus as an attractive jurisdiction for the domiciliation and management of investment funds.
The event was also joined by representatives of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Over 200 persons, including investment fund managers, accountants, lawyers, bankers and providers of corporate services, attended the event.
Moreover, the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency participated in the 5th Industry Elite Convention, which took place on 31 October in Beijing and 2 November in Shanghai.
The congress’ agenda included, among other, the allocation of assets for high net worth individuals and the relocation of family offices, residential and commercial real estate, as well as planning for retirement, citizenship, residency and international tax planning matters.
