The Council of Ministers decided on Friday to approve a subsidy scheme for teachers who use their own computers during the education process.
The Cabinet that convened under Acting President, Adamos Adamou, at the Presidential Palace said that at the first stage the subsidy will concern 2,500 teachers will get each 200 for a newly bought computer.
In statements after the Council of Ministers meeting, Education Minister, Prodromos Prodromou, said that the Ministry wants to encourage teachers to use their own computers, since the use of digital technology is an indispensable part of the education process.
Prodromou also said that the scheme will be extended in the future.
