Cobalt adds new routes and flights

Cyprus-based airline Cobalt added three new routes to its winter schedule, and flights to London, Frankfurt and Moscow are now available.

In an announcement, the airline said there are now six flights a week from Larnaca to Gatwick and back, two connections between Larnaca and Frankfurt and twice-weekly flights between Paphos and Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport.

The flights to Gatwick, which operate every day except Friday, are in addition to daily flights to and from Stansted.

Flights from Larnaca to Frankfurt operate on Wednesdays and Fridays.

In December Cobalt plans to launch a new service for the Gatwick route, including large, special 2 × 2 business seats to ensure comfort in business class.

Cobalt Air currently serves 15 destinations to 10 countries via Larnaca and Paphos airports. It operates flights to London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Moscow, Dublin, Athens, Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Paris, Beirut, Madrid, Geneva, Zurich, Frankfurt and Tel Aviv.

According to the statement, the company has been voted worldwide as the best new airline of the year 2017 by the CAPA Global Airline Research Company for its rapid expansion and innovative services.

Head of Gatwick airport Stephen King and CEO at Frankfurt airport Anke Giesen welcomed the new additions to the flight schedule.
