Consumer prices fall 1.3% in January 2016, Cystat says

Consumer prices fell 1.3% in January compared to the respective year of 2015 after falling 1.2% in December on lower energy prices, the statistical service said.

Compared to December, consumer prices fell in January 1.8% mainly on the impact of winter sales on clothing and footwear and reduced airfares and fuel prices, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Thursday.

In January 2015, consumer prices fell an annual 1.3%, according to Cystat.
