COVID-19 Webcast Series Webcast 1: Measures announced by the Cypriot Government

What does the coronavirus spread mean for your business?

Coronavirus is spreading faster than prior comparable diseases and is negatively disrupting businesses worldwide, including Cyprus. Businesses need to take immediate actions to handle the crisis. Setting up a Crisis Management structure and Task Force covering all areas of impact on the business should be the first and most critical step.

In addition, governments and central banks worldwide are taking significant steps to stimulate the economy through fiscal and monetary policy loosening. In line with global trends, different kinds of support measures of fiscal and social character have been announced by the Government of Cyprus in its attempt to tackle the effects of COVID-19 and support the taxpayers.

In our effort to support local businesses and to help them remain informed, EY Cyprus introduces a series of Webcasts regarding COVID-19. As various questions arise on the application of these measures, we invite you to take part at our first webcast taking place on 23 March from 10:00AM to 11:30AM (Cyprus time), which will address various employment – legal – migration – and tax aspects.

If you have any specific questions, please click here to submit them prior to the webcast.
