Continuing the upward trend recorded in 2018, the number of passengers passing through Larnaca and Paphos international airports during January and February increased to 834,700 from 775,700 during the same period last year.

The increase is mainly attributable to the upsurge of passengers passing through Paphos airport. In the first two months of the year there was an increase of 33% at Paphos, with the number of passengers reaching 213,200 from 160,300.

Larnaca airport recorded a minor increase of 1% with the flow of passengers increasing to 621,400 from 615,500 in the period January-February 2018.

In 2018 the number of travellers at the two airports of Larnaca and Paphos reached an all-time high of 10.9 million passengers passing through their gates, recording an overall increase of 6.7% compared to 2017.
