Cyprus Airways launches flights from Larnaca to Bratislava

Cyprus Airways has begun operating flights from Larnaca to Bratislava in Slovakia on a twice weekly basis, every Saturday and Tuesday.

In addition to Bratislava, the company will also launch flights to Kosice in Slovakia, on 11 June. The weekly flight to Kosice will operate every Tuesday.

Larnaca-based Cyprus Airways' inaugural flight to Bratislava took place on 8 June with a ceremonial water cannon salute and traditional ribbon cutting.  Passengers were welcomed at the gate with gifts and cake.

Passengers can book their tickets via the website cyprusairways.com, Cyprus Airways call center (from abroad at +357 24000053) or through their travel agent.

In July 2016, Charlie Airlines, a Cyprus registered company, won a tender competition for the right to use the trademark of defunct national carrier Cyprus Airways for a decade. The company launched flights in June 2017.

Cyprus Airways operates flights to Europe and the Middle East. All Cyprus Airways flights operate on Airbus A319 aircraft with a capacity of 144 Economy Class seats.

In October 2018, the company became a member of International Air Transport Association (IATA).
