The Ministry of Energy and US Noble Energy continue their negotiations with regard to the company's plans for the commercial exploitation of natural gas in Aphrodite field in Cyprus' offshore Exclusive Economic Zone.
Reliable sources have told CNA that the meeting will be the second in a row of many others to follow focusing on Noble’s plans for regional sales of natural gas to Egypt and Jordan as well as for their transfer to Cyprus via pipelines.
If there is a positive outcome to the negotiations, the Ministry of Energy will give Noble a license for commercial exploitation that will be valid for 25 years.
