According to sources, three prizes, one from each category (Consumers, Public Sector and Industry) will be awarded by a special committee, whilst one prize will be awarded by European citizens through an online vote.
Those interested in supporting ‘We-Qualify’ can do so at but voting closes on 5 June 2016. Winners will be awarded at a special event for sustainable energy in Brussels on 14 June 2016.
‘We-Qualify’ offers training programmes to technicians in Cyprus involved in the construction of energy efficient buildings. It covers theinstallation of thermal insulation, windows, shading systems and biomass furnaces.
The ‘We-Qualify’ training programme is a partnership between local organisations which includes the Cyprus Energy Agency, The Cyprus Productivity Centre, The Technical Chamber of Cyprus, Human Resource Development Authority, Cyprus Organisation of Standardisation, and the Energy services of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
