Cyprus-Greece-Egypt Summit in Crete

Regional developments, the Cyprus issue, energy and telecommunications, as well as matters concerning the diaspora will be discussed during the 6th Trilateral Summit of Cyprus, Greece and Egypt to be held in Elounda, Crete on Wednesday 10th October, 2018.

According to an announcement by the Presidency, President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, President of Egypt Abdel Fatah al Sisi and the Greek Premier Alexis Tsipras are attending the Summit.

The Summit starts on Wednesday morning with a bilateral meeting between President Anastasiades and Premier Tsipras. The President of Cyprus will then meet separately with his Egyptian counterpart. Tsipras and Sisi will also have the chance to meet bilaterally.

The three leaders will later have a tête-à-tête before embarking on extended consultations with the delegations of the three countries.

In the margins of the Summit a series of ministerial meetings is also expected to take place.

The three countries will also sign a series of agreements and memoranda. The leaders will then address the media and will attend subsequently a working lunch.

Regional developments, the Cyprus issue, energy and telecommunications, as well as matters related to the respective diasporas, are along the subjects to be discussed during the Summit.

The President of Cyprus will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Chistodoulides, Energy Minister Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou and Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou.
