Cyprus, Greece, Israel Summit on energy

President Nicos Anastasiades flies to Israel for an early morning meeting on Thursday, December 8, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu followed by the Cyprus-Greece-Israel Tripartite Summit focusing on energy and regional security.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will also participate in the Summit which is to take place in Jerusalem.

“Among the issues that will preoccupy the Summit, but also the bilateral meetings,are issues concerning Energy, the Environment, Tourism, Research and Innovation, the fight against terrorism as well as the current situation in the process to solve the Cyprus problem, an official announcement said.

Anastasiades will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoullides, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Nicos Kouyialis, the Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides and government officials.

On the side-lines of the Tripartite Summit, tripartite ministerial meetings on Energy and Environmental issues will also take place.

The President and his delegation will return to Cyprus on Friday morning.
