Cyprus' home prices drop 1.2% in Q1 2016

Home prices fell on average 1.2% in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the respective period of 2015, the statistical service said recently.

In January to March, prices for houses and apartments fell 3.4% compared to the quarter before, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Tuesday citing preliminary data from the Department of Lands and Surveys.

Home prices dropped an annual 0.6% in the last quarter of 2015 and a quarterly 4.2%, Cystat said. In the first quarter of 2015, home prices rose an annual 0.6% and fell a quarterly 2.8%.
