Cyprus Industrial Turnover accelerates in January-April 2017

Cyprus' Industrial Turnover Index accelerated by 11.4% in the first four months of 2017 compared with the corresponding period of 2016, figures released recently by the Statistical Service show.

Industrial Turnover in the period of January–April 2017 reached 321 units compared with 288 units in January–April 2016.

In April, the Industrial Turnover Index amounted to 81.5 units marking an increase of 6.4% compared with 76.6 in April 2016.

The sector of manufacturing in April this year reached 82.9 units marking an increase of 0.6% compared with April 2016.

However, when compared with March 2017 (88.5 units), the Industrial Index declined by 7.91%

Manufacturing in April 2017 declined by 7.5% compared with the previous month.
