Cyprus inflation rate accelerates to 2.1% in January 2019

Cyprus inflation rate accelerated in January 2019, according to data released by Eurostat.

Annual inflation in Cyprus stood at 2.1% compared to 1% in December. In January 2018 inflation stood at -1.5%. Annual inflation in the eurozone area declined to 1.4% in January from 1.5% in the previous month. In January 2018 the figure was 1.3%. EU annual inflation in January dropped to 1.5% from 1.6% in the previous month. A year earlier the figure was 1.6%. The highest annual percentages were recorded in Romania (3.2%) and Latvia (2.9%). In Greece, inflation stood at 0.5% compared to 0.6% in the previous month. Source: Financial Mirror
