Cyprus maintains competitive advantages as an investment destination says CIPA

The two official visits of the President last October in Kuwait and recently in Qatar show that Cyprus maintains many of its competitive advantages, establishing it as an attractive investment destination, says CIPA.

In a recent press release, CIPA says the President’s visits also showed that despite the challenges Cyprus is faced with, it is in a position to attract serious and credible foreign investment. CIPA President Christodoulos Angastiniotis expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the visits, stating that the first visit to Kuwait was decisive and very helpful. "We look forward with great interest to the visits of investment funds delegations and other bodies from Kuwait to continue and deepen the very good relationship we launched during our visit there," he added.

Angastiniotis said that the visit to Qatar was also successful, particularly emphasizing the meetings with the two biggest funds in the country, the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Qatari Diar. During the visit to Qatar, three Memoranda of Understanding and one bilateral agreement were signed, with a view to enhance bilateral cooperation.
