Cyprus' property sales up in 2015

Land Registry data released recently show that in 2015 property sales in Cyprus followed an upward trend, recording an increase of 9% and of 13% in property sales to people from abroad compared with 2014.

According to the data total property sale contracts submitted to the Registry on a pancyprian basis in 2015 came to 4,952 compared to 4,527 in 2014, recording an increase of 9%.

Property sales to foreigners up by 13.1%

According to the data released by the Land Registry, sales of property to people from abroad also followed an upward trend of the order of 13.1%.

In particular the number of properties in Cyprus bought by non-citizens for which sales contracts have been submitted to the Registry came to 1,349 compared to 1,193 in 2014.

Paphos District seems to be first in preference with 481 property sales, Limassol follows with 394, Larnaca comes third with 292 while Nicosia and Famagusta Districts trail behind with 96 and 86 respectively.
