Cyprus’ plan of proposals to receive about €968 million of funding from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility – Next Generation EU were submitted before the Commission late on Tuesday.
This is what CNA reported on Wednesday, adding that consultations between Cypriot and Commission technocrats will now resume so as to reach final agreement by end of April.
The EU Fund aims at a sustainable recovery from the Covid-19 crisis, addressing the economic and social consequences as well as at the long-term shielding of the member-states economies.
The proposals have to do with investments and reforms in a wide range of policy areas for the years 2021 – 2026.
Cyprus’ proposals are divided in five different priority areas, namely, public health and civil protection, the lessons derived from the pandemic and fast-tracking the transition to a green economy.
As well as enhancing competitiveness and economic resilience towards a digital era and the labour market and education and human capital.
