Cyprus’ retail trade rose 2.1% in terms of value in the first half of the year, and 5.9% in terms of volume compared to the respective period of 2015, the statistical service said.
In June, the index of retail value rose an annual 3% to 89.4 points while the retail volume index rose 5.3% to 91 points, Cystat said in two separate statements on its website on Thursday.
The figures on retail trade exclude motor vehicles and are preliminary.
