"The Summit will review bilateral relations on economic issues, trade, transport, rural development, tourism, education and science” the press release said.
"Particular emphasis will be placed on further development and strengthening business activity,” it noted, adding that in this context, the Minister of Finance will attend and will address a business forum titled ‘Russia and Cyprus: lessons from the crisis and prospects for cooperation’ also scheduled for Wednesday.
Both the Summit of the Intergovernmental Committee and the business forum are bilateral actions taken by the governments, but also by organized business groups, in a coordinated effort to upgrade and expand Cyprus-Russian relations and have recorded significant results in the last years.
The Russian delegation will be led by Nikolay R. Podguzov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
