Close to 100,000 tourists from Israel visited Cyprus in 2015, making it a record year, the Cyprus Hotel Association (PASYXE) said recently.
PASYXE said efforts to promote Cyprus in the Israeli market have resulted in the increase of tourists from the neighbouring country in recent years.
Israeli Ambassador Yail Ravia-Zadok was recently briefed about the development of Cypriot tourism during a meeting with PASYXE chairman Haris Loizides and director Zaharias Ioannides.
Efforts to upgrade the tourism product were also discussed, as well as ways to further increase tourism between the two countries.
