Cyprus tourism revenue records slight drop in January

Revenue from tourism records a slight decrease of 0.5% in January 2014 compared with January 2013, according to the latest figures released by the Statistical Service.

According to the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €30,7 million in January 2014 compared to €30,9 million in the corresponding month of 2013. It is noted that tourist arrivals in January 2014 recorded a decrease of 3.8% reaching 40,675 compared to 42,286 in January 2013 which are based on estimates.

It is reminded that in 2013, revenue from tourism recorded a ​​significant increase of 8% reaching €2.08 billion compared to €1.92 billion in 2012.
