Cyprus trade deficit narrows to €512 million in Jan-Feb 2014

Total imports/arrivals from third countries and EU member states in January-February 2014 amounted to €729,1 m, compared to €803,2 m in January-February 2013, according to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, Cystat.

In its monthly report for February 2014, Cystat said that total exports/dispatches in January-February were €217,0 million compared to €226,0 million inJanuary-February 2013. 


The trade deficit was thus reduced to €512,1 million in January-February compared to €577,2 million in the corresponding period of 2013. 


During February, total imports/arrivals reached €331,4 million. Exports/dispatches totalled €106,2 million.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €58,3 million whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €47,9 million.
