Deposits in the country’s banking system recorded an increase of around half a billion euro in July while loans declined by €358.7 million, data released recently by the Central Bank of Cyprus show.
According to the data total deposits in July 2017 recorded a net increase of €513.4 million compared to a net drop of €432.9 million in June 2017. The annual rate of change was 4.7% compared to4.2% in June 2017.
Deposits in July 2017 were recorded at €48.8 billion.
At the same time, total loans in July recorded a net drop of €358.7 million compared with a net drop of €43.4 million in June 2017.
The annual rate of change was recorded at -1.1% compared to -0.7% in June.
Total loans in July 2017 came to €53.6 billion.
