Direct flights from Haifa to Paphos by Israir

The launch of direct flights from Haifa to Paphos by Israir was marked in a Paphos event yesterday attended by Paphos mayor Phaedonas Phaedonos, Limassol mayor Nicos Nicolaides and eight mayors from northern Israel.

The Israeli mission was headed by Einat Kalisch-Rotem, the mayor of Haifa, which is Twin City to Limassol since September 2000.

During the meeting, the two Cypriot mayors exchanged views with their Israeli counterparts regarding the further development of touristic exchange between them for the mutual benefit of their jurisdictions.

The participants jointly stated that the direct air link from Haifa to Paphos expands and strengthens prospects for the development of tourism between Paphos and Limassol and northern Israel and it was agreed that talks will continue between the competent local authorities in both countries.
