Elias Neocleous & Co LLC at the Legal 500 GC Summit Cyprus 2026

Elias Neocleous & Co LLC is proud to sponsor and participate in the Legal 500 GC Summit Cyprus 2026, marking the firm’s eighth consecutive year supporting this flagship event for the in-house legal community. The event will take place on Wednesday, 4 February 2026 at The Landmark Nicosia.

This continued participation reflects the firm’s strategic partnership with Legal 500, whose international reach and longstanding contribution to the legal profession make the GC Summit a key platform for meaningful dialogue and engagement in Cyprus.

Organised by Legal 500, the GC Summit is widely recognised as one of the leading legal events in Cyprus, bringing together leading law firms and corporate counsel for a day of timely and practical discussions on key legal and regulatory developments shaping the legal landscape and business environment in Cyprus. As an invite-only event, the Summit is solely focused on General Counsel and senior legal professionals from Cyprus’ leading organisations and top law firms, ensuring high-level participation and delivering valuable, practical insights for all attendees.

The programme will conclude with dedicated networking sessions, providing an opportunity for meaningful engagement across the local legal community, alongside informative and thought-provoking panel discussions.

As part of this year’s agenda, Elias Neocleous & Co LLC will once again lead a panel titled “Investing with foresight with the FDI screening mechanism,” focusing on the practical implications of Cyprus’ newly introduced Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) control framework.

With Cyprus implementing EU Regulation 2019/452 through “The Law on the Establishment of a Framework for the Control of Foreign Direct Investments of 2025,” investors and legal advisers must now operate within a formal FDI screening framework, including obligations and reporting requirements informed by issues of control and influence, investor identity, and national security and public order. The panel will explore how legal advisers and investors can align commercial strategy with policy priorities, supporting responsible cross-border investment in Cyprus.

The firm is pleased to support the Legal 500 GC Summit and to share its expertise in advising investors and businesses on complex cross-border matters, including regulatory and compliance considerations in Cyprus.
