Ellinair to start with Larnaca-Salonica flights

Greek airline Ellinair will later in April 2016 begin its first flights out of Cyprus, opening up three weekly routes between Larnaca and Salonica.

The flights will begin on April 21 2016 and will continue every Monday, Thursday and Sunday. The ticket price will include 5kg hand language and 20kg cabin luggage. Tickets are already on sale online and through travel agents.

The particular flights will be carried out with an Airbus A319 and Avro RJ85.

Ellinair is part of the Greek Mouzenidis Group which is mainly active in tourism between Russian and other former Soviet Union countries and Greece.

In 2013, the airline transported some 500,000 tourists from these countries to Greece.

Having begun with two aircraft, Ellinair now has seven and is continuing to expand. The airline flies out of Salonica, Heraklion and Corfu to 45 airports in 15 countries.

Ellinair has also opened an office in Limassol and is aiming to “open up more routes to other destinations,” according to company officials.
