Guarantees provided by the Cyprus government amounted to €1.76 billion at the end of June 2017, according to data released by the Cyprus Treasury.
Government guarantees marked a reduction of 2.07%, compared with the respective period of 2016.
The sum of performing loans guaranteed by the government amounted to €1.67 million, marking a decline by €0.2 billion compared with the respective period of 2016.
Guarantees to public entities loans amount to €1.06 billion, while guarantees to Municipalities and communities amounted to €0.29 billion.
Non-performing loans guaranteed by the government amounted to €96 million. Guarantees provided to retail loans were the highest with €78 million.
