Government subsidizes for alternative, zero or low emissions vehicles

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from next Monday, December 6, 2021, the Plan for Withdrawal of Polluting Vehicles and Incentives for Alternative, Zero or Low Emissions of Vehicle Types will be implemented.

Those interested will be able to submit their applications online, until December 20, 2021. It is noted that applications will be considered based on the age of the vehicle and not by the date of application.

The Plan refers to the withdrawal of saloon, van or double cab vehicles with an age of 12 years and over. The age is calculated from the date on which the vehicle was registered as new in any country until December 6, 2021.

Beneficiaries can be individuals, professionals or legal entities.

The amounts that will be allocated for the purpose of withdrawing an old vehicle and replacing it with a new vehicle range from €7,500 to €12,000. Specifically:

for the withdrawal and replacement with a new private vehicle with emission mass ≤50 gr/km - CO2 the subsidy amounts to €7,500,
for the withdrawal and replacement with a new taxi vehicle with emission mass ≤50 gr/km - CO2 the subsidy amounts to €12,000,
