Responding to the increased demand for new job positions, Invest Cyprus has announced the official launch of its “Invest Career” digital platform, where Cypriot and foreign professionals can match their talent and skills with existing vacancies in sectors of interest.
The new platform was presented at a press conference given by Invest Cyprus in Nicosia on 13 April 2018 attended by media representatives, Labour Minister Mrs Zeta Emilianidou, Labour Ministry officials and other stakeholders.
In his address, the Chairman of the Board of Invest Cyprus Mr Michalis P Michael explained that the initiative was in line with the Organisation’s effort to provide continued support to current and potential investors, making the best of what Cyprus has to offer. “Fiscal stability and economic growth have stimulated international interest in Cyprus, which translates into a steady increase in direct foreign investments,” he said.
He added that among Cyprus’ many competitive advantages are the talented and expert local human resources as well as the easy access offered by the island’s geostrategic position in the global pool of human capital. As a result, a large number of international companies are moving their headquarters to the island, while many are expanding their activities here, opening new offices and creating new jobs.
On her part, Labour Minister Mrs Zeta Emilianidou expressed her satisfaction with the Organisation’s initiative, stressing that “This is a very important initiative because it gives companies as well as our young people outside Cyprus who are looking for a job to find employment and relocate to their home country. The most important thing for us is that our children, our young people, find employment. Invest Cyprus is helping the efforts of the Ministry and the government to reduce unemployment, and for this I would like to thank them once more.”
It is worth noting that with the “Invest Career” platform, companies and employers can capitalise on the available human resources, using effective search tools that can locate and attract the best recruitment options at any given moment.
Aiming at the best possible result, the platform gives its members the opportunity to build their profile on the basis of specific criteria, resulting in immediate and accurate matches of potential employees and employers. This allows companies to search for ideal candidates not only based on their specialisations and abilities, but also the estimated time needed to relocate to Cyprus and their desired remuneration levels. An additional characteristic of the “Invest Career” platform is that members can receive notifications for new vacancies which match their abilities and their overall profile.
Cypriot and foreign professionals can register with “Invest Career” online (www.invest.career). They will then be sent a request for confirmation on their email. With the confirmation of their registration, they automatically become members of the platform.
