Jet2 connecting Cyprus to Britain

Jet2 has announced its flight expansion in Cyprus with the addition of a further two routes from Glasgow and Newcastle.

The Larnaca-Glasgow route has already begun; the first flight was on May 6, 2015.

Larnaca-Newcastle routes will commence on May 27, 2015. Both these flights will be operated once a week on a Wednesday. The Glasgow and Newcastle routes are also available from Paphos Airport twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday or every Wednesday and Sunday.

Jet2 is offering 10% off all flights at the moment according to Steve Heapy, Chief Executive at Jet2.

“Jet2.com flights between the United Kingdom and Cyprus are available for immediate booking – now with 10% off – at jet2.com,” Heapy said.

Flights can be found for as little as €110.35 one-way, Larnaca-Glasgow, departing before the end of May.

Also flights for the end of August, Larnaca-Newcastle, are on average €340 return.

In a statement, Wes Porter, Chief Executive Officer of Hermes Airports, welcomed the expansion of Jet2.com and the new routes and noted “the strengthening of the air connectivity between Cyprus and Britain is a key element in the effort to recover the tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom to Cyprus”.
