Kuwaiti investment officials due in Cyprus

The chairmen of three investment funds from Kuwait arrive in Cyprus to hold a series of meetings with the government and the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA).

According to CIPA, the Kuwaiti investors will meet with the Agency, to discuss investment prospects in the property sector.

They will then be received by President Nicos Anastasiades in the presence of the Ministers of Finance and Energy, Harris Georgiades and Giorgos Lakkotrypis respectively. The President will host a lunch for his guests. Later they will have separate meetings with Georgiades and Lakkotrypis.

The investors from Kuwait are also expected to see some projects in Cyprus. The visit opens up some opportunities in the area of privatisation of semi-governmental organizations, sources told the Cyprus News Agency.

Anastasiades visited Kuwait last October as part of a series of trips to Gulf states for the purpose of attracting investors.
