Lebanese investors attracted to Cyprus

Lebanese companies view Cyprus as an attractive place for investment and cooperation with local companies.

This was the message that came out recently from a Business Forum in coastal Limassol organized by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus Lebanon Business Association.

The Forum aims at promoting bilateral business relations between Cypriot and Lebanese business people.

The Lebanese Chamber pushes forward the possible establishment of joint ventures between the two countries for the future reconstruction of Syria.

In a keynote speech, Minister of Commerce and Industry George Lakkotrypis pointed out the speedy recovery of the Cypriot economy, developments in the energy sector and tourism.

The Forum brought together some 120 entrepreneurs from Lebanon and Lakkotrypis sent the message that the government’s goal is to set up an attractive investment environment for Lebanese entrepreneurs and others.
