Limassol and Paphos on tourist map

The ‘trivago’ search engine has swept the internet for the best 100 destinations and hotels, based on travellers’ preferences and feedback and included Limassol and Paphos.

Top world destination was Sanya, a town on the Hainan island in southern China, with sandy beaches, beautiful mountains, forests, and plenty of sunshine all year round. Hanoi in Vietnam got second place, and Sorrento in Italy came third.

Places in Greece and Cyprus also appeared on the list, and a closer comparison among them had Epirus as the most favoured destination and Larnaca as the least popular at number 18.

In the same comparison, Limassol got the highest mark on the island and number seven on the whole, while Paphos came eighth out of 18 destinations for Greece and Cyprus.

Athens did not get a top spot as it had a huge drop down to 76th place, while London and Paris did not even make it on the Top 100 list.
