New company registrations in December 2014 increased by 3% in 2014 recording a rise for a tenth consecutive month.
Applications for new company registrations in 2014 reached 11,252 up by 2.97% compared to 10.297. However, the figures remain significantly lower compared with 2012 and 2011.
In December applications for new company registrations reached 1,031 from 943 in the December 2013, recording an increase of 9.33%.
Compared with November 2014, new company registration declined by 4.1%.
The number of approved new company registrations reached 11,169 in 2014 marking anannual increase for the first time since 2011. New company registration for 2013 and 2012 stood at 10,847 and 17,999 respectively.
