Paphos Aphrodite Festival officially opens its gates with Mozart`s well known opera 'Cosi Fan Tutte' on September 5, 6 and 7.
Across the carefully distributed setting of the famous Italian director and set designer Paolo Panizza, the audience will find themselves in the amphitheatric open space at the Square of the Medieval Castle at the Paphos Harbour, for an enchanting and colourful journey.
In a press conference Paphos Mayor Savvas Vergas said that the opera is jointly produced by the Festival and the Opera Futura Verona, with the participation of the Cyprus Symphonic Orchestra, the lyric choir of the Festival and the Amintore Galli choir of Rimini, Italy.
He further noted that for the first time in the festival’s history the choir and orchestra will be conducted by the well known Cypriot maestro Agis Ioannides.
