Positive climate stays steady for Cyprus Stock Exchange

A positive climate prevailed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) on Tuesday March 29, 2016.

The General Index stayed steady at 67.66 points, showing a marginal increase in rate of 0.16%.

Index FTSE / CySE 20 was at 38.94 points, posting gains of 0.23%. At the same time, the value of transactions stood at € 125.748.

Out of the individual sector indices, the only rise recorded was by the Alternative Market index at a rate of 0.77%, while the Main Market recorded losses, down 0.18%.

The other indices remained unchanged.

Investor interest peaked for Bank of Cyprus securities, with trade volume worth € 117.957 (fall of 0.67%), Salamis Tours by € 2.900 (6.38% increase), Alki Hadjikyriakos with € 1.297 (increase 0.50 %), Hellenic Bank with € 1.220 (unchanged) and Blue Island by € 1.100 (unchanged).

Of the stocks traded, 3 move upward and 2 down, while four remain unchanged. The number of transactions was at 56.
