PrimeTel wins 3rd mobile licence in Cyprus

PrimeTel successfully manages to secure the license for a 3rd Mobile Network in Cyprus and evolves from Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) to Mobile Network Operator (MNO).

This development enables the creation of a fourth generation network (4G) and the availability of new services at lower prices. Since May 2011 until today, more than 40.000 subscribers trust PrimeTel Mobile services and enjoy integrated communication solutions. By securing this license, the company will directly proceed to the design and development of a 4th generation network, offering Cypriot consumers unique 4G experience!

In a statement, PrimeTel CEO Mr. Hermes Stephanou confirmed: "The acquisition of the third mobile license has been a milestone for our company. We fully recognize that the future of Broadband is Mobile and as such we will proceed with this investment. Our company is committed to delivering next generation Services with speeds exceeding 30 mbps for mobile devices".

Primetel currently operates a national network for fixed broadband services, with Fixed Voice, Internet, Television and Wifi.
