PwC, ICAEW honour trainee accountants

PwC Cyprus and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) hosted an event on 'Building skills for success' for accountants who have completed, or are in the midst of their training with the firm, as well as all those who achieved worldwide distinctions in the ICAEW professional examinations in recent years.

Present at the event, which took place at the Hilton Hotel, were the CEO of ICAEW, Michael Izza, as well as the Rector of the University of Cyprus, Prof. Constantinos Christofides, who also participated in a panel discussion, coordinated by PwC CEO Evgenios Evgeniou.

The discussion focused on the future of accountants, the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, as well as the importance of continuous learning and acquiring skills over the course of their career.

Since 1993 when the training began for Chartered Accountants, more than 900 university graduates have acquired this title while employed at PwC Cyprus, while their success rate in the most recent examinations in December 2014 was above the worldwide average in all subjects.
