Senvest now Hellenic’s fourth largest shareholder

Senvest International LLC said recently its stake in Hellenic Bank rose to over 5.03% from 2.62% as it owns 364,660,947 shares.

The Canada based investment fund, which was commenting in a statement on the Cyprus Stock Exchange, is now Hellenic’s fourth largest lender after Third Point Hellenic Recovery Fund LP, Wargaming Plc Ltd and Demetra Investment Plc Ltd, which have a 26.98%, 26.46% and 10.1% respectively.

The Church of Cyprus, which was owner of 7.99% of the lender’s capital, is owner of 3.58% after it declined to participate in the latest rights issue citing lack of funds and losses from investing in banks.
