A deal has been signed between the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and Edelweiss airlines to start operating direct flights from Zurich to Larnaca from November 2014.
The CTO hope that the airline will bring more tourists to Cyprus during the off-peak winter season. 42,000 visitors came to Cyprus from Switzerland in 2013.
The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Swiss International Air Lines and the Lufthansa Group. The airline was founded on 19 October 1995 in Bassersdorf, Switzerland.
