Tourism revenue down by 5.8% in November 2013

Tourism revenue was down by 5.8% in November 2013 compared to November 2012, the latest data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service shows.

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €59.2 mn in November 2013 compared to €62.8 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year. Arrivals in November totaled 81,542 in November 2013 compared to 84,020 in November of the previous year. Average stay of visitors was up in November 2013 at 10.3 days compared to 9.4 days in November 2012. Average expenditure per head is recorded in November at €725.5 and at 70.2 per diem compared to €747.8 and €79.9 in November 2012 respectively.
