Trade deficit up €97m for Jan-Feb 2016

The trade deficit for the period January-February 2016 was €465.7 million, compared to €368.4 million during the same period in 2015, according to data published recently by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) in January-February 2016 amounted to €692.6 million as compared to €734.2 million in January-February 2015.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to thirdcountries and dispatches to other Member States) in January-February 2016 were €227.0 million, compared to €365.8 million in January-February 2015.

During February 2016 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) were valued at €357.0 million.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in February 2016 amounted to €115.6 million.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €65.1 million whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €50.5 million.
