Further to our recent newsletter article entitled UBO Register in the Republic of Cyprus: Implementation of Final Solution the Department of Registrar of Companies and IP (DRCIP) has released an extension to the filing of beneficial ownership particulars onto the Final Solution of the UBO Register until 29 February 2024 for Interim Solution-compliant companies.

In particular, Regulatory Administrative Act (RAA) 401/2023 provides that:

“2. A company or other legal entity and every officer thereof, who until the 13^th November 2023 submitted to the Registrar of Companies the information referred to in subparagraph (1) of paragraph 4 for the ultimate beneficiaries of the company or other legal entity, through the interim solution but did not confirm until the 31^st December 2023 this information, through the final solution of the electronic Register of Beneficial Owners of Companies and Other Legal Entitles, which was set into implementation on the 14^th November 2023, may do so until the 29^th February 2024.”

The above extension is effective from the date of its release in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus, i.e., from 15 December 2023. For the official release of RAA 401/2023, you may click here and refer to page 2932.
